VCS 2222: Small Skylight, Big Impact

The VELUX VCS 2222 2004S is the most compact solar-powered venting skylight in the VCS lineup—perfect for bathrooms, hallways, laundry rooms, or any small space that craves natural light and fresh air. This curb-mounted unit is powered by a built-in solar panel, so there’s no need for wiring or electrical hookups. Just install it, pair the included remote, and enjoy.

Despite its smaller footprint, this skylight delivers the same powerful performance you expect from VELUX. Laminated Low-E3 safety glass enhances energy efficiency and meets code for out-of-reach installations. The integrated rain sensor provides automatic weather protection, while the compact size fits seamlessly into tight ceiling layouts.

Built for an outside curb dimension of 25½" x 25½", the VCS 2222 is compatible with roof pitches from 0° to 60°, and backed by a 10-year no-leak warranty when installed with VELUX flashing kits.

Curb Mount

A curb-mounted skylight is designed to sit on a raised curb structure built on the roof, making it a flexible option for both new installations and replacements.

Curb-mounted models are ideal for flat or low-slope roofs and can simplify installation—especially when replacing older units or working with thicker roofing materials.

Roof Pitch

Compatible with roof pitches from 0:12 to 20:12 (0° to 60°).

Ideal for flat and low-slope roofs, or where an existing curb is already in place. A great choice for retrofits, replacements, and homes with roofing materials like torch-down, TPO, modified bitumen, or tar & gravel.

Flashing

ECL Low-Profile Flashing – Suitable for low-slope and flat roofs, commonly used with membrane or rolled roofing systems.

ECW Step Flashing – For use with shingle and shake roofs (minimum pitch 3:12). Designed to integrate with typical roofing profiles and provide weathertight protection around curb-mounted skylights.

EMW Metal Roof Flashing – Specifically made for standing seam and corrugated metal roofs, ensuring a custom fit and secure seal.
